I own two feet. They take me everywhere. I use them immediately when I get up in the morning, and they take me to bed at night. I don’t always appreciate what they do for me.
I would much rather use them than drive a car or ride a bike (which I love.) They have allowed me to see the world. It’s much better to get off the merry go round of planes, trains and automobiles and explore at ground level.
I’ve used them to score goals, play footsie, dance and dip a toe in to test the waters.
King Henry the 1st was the fellow who crowned his foot as the unit of measurement based on his own foot. Fingers can’t claim anything near that importance.
All Hail the Foot!
