The road was steep leading down into Les Andelys from Chateau Galliard. We passed through town, and it was quiet, not a soul was outdoors. Following the river, the boat was around the bend. We passed a local watching the world go by. Pressing the shutter, I had the feeling the image could be a landscape painted in another time. I envied the gentleman in the photo. Our scheduled departure required us to move on to the riverboat. There were tours and connections that required our attention. Looking at this photo, I place myself in his seat, wondering what my thoughts will be on a quiet afternoon by the river.
