Isle of Capri

·

The road back was long and circuitous. Rather than take the direct route, the driver wanted to allow us the best view of Capri. He spoke lovingly of the island, gesturing animatedly with his right hand, his left on the wheel. When we arrived at the overlook, the view was excellent, but would have been more favorable for an image at dawn. It was a spot clearly known only to a locals, and we were alone at the secret viewpoint.

It was a fitting end to our travels for the day, and he drove us quickly back to the port. We left him behind to share his secret overlook with future passengers and boarded the ship to sail on to the next port of call.
