Photo Friday: Downcity

A term often used for downtown Providence, I ventured into the center of the capitol to shoot some street images.

My walk through Waterplace Park garnered a few images. The relocation of the rivers in the city in the 80’s and 90’s, helped revitalize downtown. The parks and footbridges offer some wonderful angles and shadows that work well with black and white photography. Adding a few people for scale and the human element can make shooting in the city fun.
