This 4000 footer in New Hampshire is named for Edward Everett Hale. The great grandson of famed American Revolutionary War spy Nathan Hale, He was an American author and minister.

The summit of Hale is without a view. When reaching the top, you’ll find a clearing surrounded by evergreens and a large cairn in the center. It is a relatively short hike and the mountain is just over the 4K foot measurement at 4055′ to be included as one of the 48.
