
The snow in Maine gets deep. Snowshoes were a must on climbing this peak, the 4th highest and northernmost of the Mahoosuc Range.
Looking back on our track to the top, you can see the snowshoe trench we created during the ascent. Though it was cold, the exertion kept us warm in our efforts to reach the tower at the summit.

The slight overcast made for some fine hiking and a few keepers for the camera roll.
