We sit in the corner spaces. Watching the departure board, scrolling phones. Impatient.

The track is announced, we charge to the platform.

We frantically rush to find a seat. We wait again for the train’s movement.

The train slowly builds up speed, barreling down the tracks, only to stop behind a disabled train. We charge to the next stop, conductors calling out stations loudly. Travelers rush to the exits, waiting for the stop. We move on again, repeating the process, over and over…
