Rouen

Rue Saint-Romain, Rouen, France

I exited the Cathedral through a side entrance and found myself on a narrow street. It was quiet and empty. I needed to wait a moment, but not long. I don’t remember what she looked like, didn’t care.

I needed her form, her silhouette. Just keep walking, don’t pop into a shop. Stay centered. My fingers were crossed that no one else would enter the frame. One foot in front of the other, each leg swinging with grace and form, she kept moving until she reached that point in the frame.

Then we both went in opposite directions.
