This New Hampshire peak is a must if you are collecting mountains on the New Hampshire 52 With A View List.
The hike is relatively short at approximately 7 miles round trip, and offers a fine view from the North Peak.
In the distance, the White Mountains and Mount Moosilauke are visible. Several trails lead to the summit including the Appalachian Trail.

Loons, falcons, thrush, sparrows and chickadees are native to the White Mountains. Grouse are deep in the woods and not often seen, and the call of owls are often heard at night when in the woods. Moose are not commonly seen, but I did see two last year, and not often seen but always present, Black bears.
